About us
United in life as in our passion for board sports, exposing ourselves to long hours in the sun, we imagined designing a range of trans-tanning swimsuits to reduce unsightly marks and obtain an even tan.
Genesis
"my little deer"
In 2015, we created the "Tahitian Adventure" and organized Polynesian canoe trips on the turquoise waters of the Côte d'Azur to discover its beauties, the Lérins islands located in the heart of the bay of Cannes. in Cap Taillat near St-Tropez.
Exposed to the sun for long hours every day, I affectionately called Alexandra " my little deer " because of the white triangle on her buttocks formed by the mark of the jersey. She made fun of me saying she could read in bed by the light of my buttocks .
Vision
"ATAWAD"
On the strength of this experience, we imagined designing a range of swimsuits made from a technical textile that would filter harmful rays to let only tanning rays through. We have imagined simple and elegant designs, allowing you to obtain a uniform ATAWAD tan "Anytime, Anywhere, Any Device' and which are suitable for the greatest number of people. The patterns would be inspired by the colors of the Côte d'Azur. The production would be carried out only in France and with the participation of workshops employing people with disabilities.
Inspiration
"100% French Riviera"
It was enough to observe the nature and the bright colors of our beautiful region during our exploration hikes, to find sources of inspiration.
The blue of the chairs of Nice, the yellow of the lemons of Chin, the turquoise of the islands of Cannes, the orange of the bell tower of St Tropez, as well as the colors of the cities, inspired the basic colors of our first collection.
Hibiscus, birds of paradise, frangipani, bougainvillea inspired the patterns.
